JLL announced the addition of two key broker hires, Sean Black as Senior Managing Director and Tyler de la Peña as Senior Vice President, further bolstering its office tenant representation team in South Florida.

The two experienced real estate professionals will join JLL’s leading tenant representation services team serving clients across the South Florida region.

“We are thrilled to welcome Sean and Tyler to our South Florida brokerage team. Sean’s leadership and extensive track record in tenant representation, combined with Tyler’s deep understanding of the South Florida market, will further enhance our tenant representation expertise and service offerings,” said Dan McGowan, JLL Executive Managing Director and Broker Lead for South Florida. “Their institutional knowledge, established networks and extensive experience will help us accelerate our growth, while supporting our dynamic client roster as the South Florida market continues to experience robust business growth.”

In this new role, Black will focus on office tenant representation and portfolio client work. He is a seasoned industry leader who most recently served as Co-Founder and CEO of BLACKre. Prior to that, he was a part of JLL’s New York team for six years from 2009 to 2015. He also previously held senior positions at WeWork and Cushman & Wakefield, advising numerous portfolio clients. With a unique background as a former Olympic boxer, Black brings an unmatched level of determination and strength to his work advocating for clients. Relocating to Miami from New York City, his wealth of experience will be a key asset as JLL continues to grow its South Florida presence and expand its Integrated Portfolio Services (IPS) business.

As a South Florida native, de la Peña possesses an in-depth understanding of the region’s dynamic office market and a successful track record representing the needs of local, regional and national office tenants across South Florida. De la Peña’s previous roles include nearly six years working at Colliers International focusing on office occupier advisory services and three years as an office occupier advisor at CBRE. His client relationship skills and market knowledge make him an ideal fit for JLL, and his addition further strengthens the firm’s ability to serve its diverse portfolio of clients across the tri-county region.

Previously, JLL announced the addition of Ryan Levy as Executive Vice President with the company’s tenant representation team in South Florida. Levy is focused on servicing local, regional and national office users across various industries. Just two months later, JLL now welcomes the addition of Black and de la Peña, further strengthening the firm’s presence in South Florida. Their diverse backgrounds, market expertise, and proven track records serving clients will allow JLL to continue meeting the growing demand for tenant representation services in the region. The addition of these three experienced brokers so far this year, further solidifies JLL’s commitment to delivering exceptional client service and innovative real estate solutions.

Black is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario in Canada. De la Peña earned his bachelor’s degree from Florida State University in Tallahassee.
