City approval includes permits for 1,243 residential units, 125,000 square feet of retail space, a 140-room hotel, a 55,000-square-foot entertainment arena with seating for 5,000 people, and 85,000 square feet of medical offices.
The project would also have over 40 acres of open space, including 24.4 acres of nature trails, a 2.1-mile perimeter loop and a lake.
With that new lease, Walgreens will occupy a total of 63,177 square feet in the park.
The non-profit organization will more than double its footprint.
The 30-story mixed-use complex will also contain 326 luxury residential units, a hotel and a long list of amenities.
The community bank will be opening its 12,500-square-foot regional office in Plantation.
Cushman & Wakefield’s Brian Gale and Anthony Librizzi represented the landlord, while David Dusek and Kevin Landers from the same brokerage represented the tenant.
The developer proposed replacing the office with an eight-story apartment building with 237 units.
The firm recently added another 16,695 square feet to its office footprint.
The park was 80% occupied when Feldman Equities acquired the property about two years ago.
